Staff members can not connect to main wifi

Purpose
To provide a step-by-step guide for staff members on how to connect to main wifi of your campus. -
Scope
This procedure applies to all staff members. -
Requirements
Staff member was able to connect with main wifi. -
Procedure
- Stage 1 - MacAddress is fixed:
- If you are unable to connect with main wifi (e.g: ilim-boys for kiewa campus), please check if your MacAddress is selected as fixed
- Please follow below steps to check your MacAddress is fixed or not:
- Go to system settings.
- Click on Wi-Fi
- Find your main wifi (e.g: ilim-boys for kiewa campus)
- Next to your main wifi you will see three dots inside circle, please click on it (see image below)
- Please check if your Private Wi-Fi address is on fixed, rotating or off. If it is on fixed please move to Stage 2, if it is not on fixed, please select fixed and press ok.
- Now try to connect with main wifi, it should work. If it is still not working, please move to Stage 2.
- Stage 2 - Restart your MacBook:
- If your wifi is on fixed and still you are unable to connect with main wifi, please restart your MacBook.
- Stage 3 - Inform IT:
- After above two stages, you are still not able to connect with main wifi, please contact your IT department for support.
